The Rake (2018) is a horror film directed by Tony Wash, inspired by the creepypasta character of the same name. The story centers on siblings Ben and Ashley, who, as children, witnessed the brutal murder of their parents by Jacob Murphy, a patient of their psychiatrist father. Murphy claimed to be possessed by a supernatural entity known as ‘The Rake’ before taking his own life.

Twenty years later, the trauma still haunts Ben and Ashley. Ashley becomes convinced that ‘The Rake’ is real and responsible for their parents’ deaths, leading to escalating paranoia and terror. As the entity’s presence grows, the siblings and their friends must confront the malevolent force threatening their lives.
