Glass (2019)

Glass (2019)

Summary:

Glass (2019) is the thrilling conclusion to M. Night Shyamalan’s superhero trilogy, following Unbreakable (2000) and Split (2016). The film centers on three characters: David Dunn (Bruce Willis), a man with superhuman strength; Elijah Price (Samuel L. Jackson), aka Mr. Glass, who has a fragile body but an exceptionally brilliant mind; and Kevin Wendell Crumb (James McAvoy), a man with dissociative identity disorder and 24 distinct personalities, one of which is a violent entity called The Beast. The three are confined in a psychiatric facility, where a doctor (Sarah Paulson) attempts to convince them that their extraordinary abilities are delusions.

As the story unfolds, the characters’ lives intersect in a final confrontation. While David and Kevin struggle with their powers and the threats posed by Mr. Glass, they must face the reality of their existence as “heroes” or “villains.” Shyamalan explores themes of identity, perception, and destiny, culminating in a twist that questions the true nature of their powers. The film blends psychological drama with superhero elements, delivering a gripping and thought-provoking finale.
