Gaami is a 2024 Indian Telugu-language epic adventure thriller directed by debutant Vidyadhar Kagita. The film follows Shankar, an amnesiac Aghora with haphephobia (fear of touch), who is banished from his secluded Ashram due to his condition. Advised to seek a cure, Shankar embarks on a journey to find Kedar Baba, his mentor, but learns of his demise. He is then directed to obtain the rare Maalipatram, a bioluminescent mushroom with medicinal properties, found deep in the Himalayas and potent only once every 36 years. Joined by Dr. Jahnavi, who is researching the mushroom for its potential to heal mental traumas, they face numerous challenges in their quest.

Parallelly, the film portrays the story of Durga, a terminally ill Devadasi, and her estranged daughter Uma, highlighting themes of societal norms and personal struggles. The narrative intricately weaves these storylines, culminating in revelations about identity, karma, and self-discovery. “Gaami” received positive reviews for its performances, concept, and technical aspects, and was a commercial success, grossing around ₹22 crore against a budget of ₹6 crore.
